PRAYER & FASTING

Fasting

Biblical fasting is refraining from food for a spiritual purpose; to draw near to God.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you
— Matthew 6:33

TYPES OF FASTS:

  1. full Fast

In this type of fast, you drink only liquids, typically water with light juices as an option.

  2. Partial Fast

This fast involves abstaining from eating food from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, or from sunrise to sunset.

  3. DANIEL FAST(VEGAN)

This type of fast involves removing meat, sweets, bread, refined, processed foods, and caffeine from your diet. You can consume all vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes, water, and 100% juices.

  4. 3-DAY FAST

This fast can be a Full Fast, Daniel Fast, or give up at least one item of food.

  5. Soul Fast

This fast is a great option if you do not have much experience fasting food, have health issues that prevent you from fasting food, or if you wish to refocus certain areas of your life that are out of balance.

For example, you might choose to stop using social media or watching television for the duration of the fast and then carefully bring that element back into your life in healthy doses at the conclusion of the fast.
